I've lost all perspective on this piece, having worked on it for way too long. I think the major flaw now is that I've simply used too many colours, thus destroying any dramatic mood, but I'd appreciate a second opinion.
I can't understand why nobody has yet commented this. It's a wonderful piece, in my opinion; colors are useful here, because, being them very vivid, they add more impact to it.

I think I know what it is now. Because the two main figures aren't that colourful, the richly-coloured background and foreground are kind of stealing the viewer's attention. Oh well, live and learn.
Well, it is hard to make out a few things here and there, but that doesn't really destroy the piece. I think its still a great job just getting it started.

I think the colors actually enhance the piece, making it look chaotic and dramatic, which seems to be the mood. The reds and oranges behind the trident-wielding character (Posideon, maybe?) make it look violent and savage.
Great, excellent, wonderful job.

Some say the world will end in fire,
Some say in ice.
From what I've tasted of desire
I hold with those who favor fire.
But if it had to perish twice,
I think I know enough of hate
To say that for destruction ice
Is also great
And would suffice.

The man's below the horizon, but the viewer is looking up at his butt/undersie of the leg. Which would be ok if he was doing a sort of leap twist ting, but her tail is front of his leg so he looks like he is on the ground. But I'm only noticing this because you prompted a close lookmfor things to pick at. You usually do more realistic hair.
But the colours are very nice - the rock in the forground is lovely. Sky colouring very pulp. In a good way.
The pic started off with this awful orange-green thing happening, and I reworked it repeatedly to get more blue and yellow in there in its stead. There's still some green-orange in the foreground that I thought was good enough to leave in.
The awkward position of the man is due to the fact that he's in mid-dodge, but I see your point. I also just realised I had intended him to be dodging left, but his hair looks as if he just dodged right. This is the point where I just throw my hands up in the air and declare this one a lost cause
