Artist's Comments

There's that John Totleben influence again :)

Daily Deviation

Given 2009-02-02

Burned Oak pg 33 by ~Moriadat is one page of an elaborately inked comic. Its old-style feel is due to the hatching techniques used to convey tone, light and dark, and the artist's exploration of how to best achieve them is evident. This particular page is featured for the remarkable sequencing, and expressive use of lettering to complement the action. (Featured by ^Cedarseed)

Waah, such a cool style of drawing *0*
I love how you did the face of the lady at the end!
:iconcropcircledesigner:
Loving her face in the last panel. The good kind of psycho.
:iconmoriadat:
Thanks! I do love lighting faces from below.

There are some really good lighting examples in my Preyground comic sequence too, also in the Gallery.

Now that's some blood splatter... NICE ^^ Personally, my favorite panel is the one at the top-right end of the second row. The steam coming from his nostrals just looks awesome XD

Amazingly well done, I just LOVE the inks. It's not easy to get that up to par with hatching *I know, I've tried.. and generally failed lol* so I'm very impressed by your skill.
